PRACTICAL USE OF FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

Overview

This 3 hour course has been designed to enable the participants to practically use Fire Extinguishers at work or in their home place.

Course Aim

The course aims to provide the participants with the theoretical knowledge of how to select the appropriate Fire Extinguisher and how to safely apply same to a fire.

This programme delivered to a group of 10 participants will cover the following topics;

• The Fire Triangle & Fire Hazards
• Classification of Fuels
• Types & Labelling on Fire Extinguishers
• Rules for Fighting Fires
• Practical Use of a Fire Extinguishers

Who is it for?

For all people wishing to be in a position to use a Fire Extinguisher

Assessment & Certification

Following completion of the course and a Practical Skills Assessment the participants will be issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years.
