Gearóid Murphy

Gearoid has worked in the Health & Safety Industry for over the past 9 years and has worked on various projects around Ireland as a safety consultant, auditor and trainer with a particular interest in the development of safety management systems, safety statements, machinery & work equipment assessments and training delivery.

Gearoid holds an Honours Diploma in Safety, Health & Welfare at Work from the University of Limerick, NUI Maynooth Honours Certificate in Training & Continuing Education, is a QQI Level 6 qualified Manual Handling Instructor, ROSPA Abrasive Wheels and Setters Instructor, DSE assessor and RTITB Forklift Instructor.

Gearoid is a professional and committed advisor and managing director of Demack Safety Ltd. with attention to detail and up to date knowledge in the fast moving health & safety industry.

Since the commencement of Demack, Gearoid has been responsible for the delivery of contracts to various clients and has had a particularly strong involvement in the implementation of safety systems, delivery of training programs and provision of advice to our clients. He has been asked by clients to provide them with the opportunity to review their implementation of health and safety from new angles which are a fresh, innovative and highly practical.

Carol Murphy

Before becoming involved in Health & Safety Carol ran a successful business as a Publican for 3 years. She was able to adapt into this new role relatively smooth because of her previous 15 years’ experience in the hospitality sector between the UK and Ireland. The fact Carol has vast knowledge of the Hospitality sector, the Health and Safety industry and raised 3 children shows she is the right person to keep you refreshed with today’s legislation.

Carol is our lead First Aid instructor, delivering all aspects of First Aid Training including defibrillator, sports, pediatric and community first responder. Carol has developed several First Aid courses specific to our clients’ needs and requirements.

Client Safety Coordinator was the first role that Carol fulfilled within the Health and Safety industry. She furthered her portfolio to becoming an Occupational First Aid instructor and has recently acquired the position of Sales and marketing Director of a vibrant Health & Safety company.

Through her personal experience in the industry she has gained extensive knowledge of current health & safety legislation and best practices within this particular field. She has furthered her expertise to becoming a DSE Assessor, PHECC Cardiac First Response Instructor and QQI Level 6 First Aid Instructor.
 
Carol holds a Diploma in Business Studies, a diploma in Public Services, an ECDL certificate together with a QQI Start your own business Certificate.
